Australian Track and Field Coaches Association — Victorian Branch
This course is directed to the Processes of Coaching, with particular emphasis on the young athlete and the novice athlete. After the completion of the Foundation course, participants then have the opportunity to pursue the next course as an Event Group Specialist.
There are no pre-requisites for this course but it is recommended that LAVic members undertake an introduction to coaching (ITC) Course first. Some familiarity with the sport will be assumed.
This new course includes all elements of the previous ATFCA Level I course and some components of the Level II. It is equivalent to completing AA's Level 2 course.
Includes instruction from many ATFCA Qualified Coaches, Coaching Manual (ATFCA 2017) plus Membership to the ATFCA till December 2020 (coaching insurance; cheap access to workshops and other courses; access to mentoring and our coach network; coaching journals and much more!)

Much of this course is practical in content, participation is optional but recommended. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be applicable for some individuals. This Course can be broken into sections if you are not available for the whole weekend.
